The role of Media and Client Communications is responsible for all photography and videography relevant to client reporting and horse sale marketing (using Adobe Suite software). Familiarisation with bloodstock is a necessary part of this role, in promoting the Blue Gum Farm brand, maintaining a strong online presence (web and social media) and assisting with the daily running of the BGF business.
- Stock awareness: Maintain a firsthand knowledge of bloodstock on the property through regular inspection, in particular, communicating written and visual updates to clients
- Photography, videography and editing production: Photograph, Video & Edit footage of horses for fortnightly online sales entries, major annual sales, and for weekly owner reports
- Client liaison: Welcome visitors to the farm, assist in organising/hosting hospitality when applicable, accompany clients on and coordinating inspections, and maintaining contact with past clients
- Social Media, marketing and website management: Monitor and engage in BGF’s social media activity, create and schedule content for our channels, and assist in keeping the website up to date
Selection Criteria:
- Creative ability to develop website, social media, and marketing content
- Prior experience photographing and videoing thoroughbred horses for major sales, including editing.
- Excellent communication skills (writing and language)
- Attention to detail for day-to-day success (especially social media)
- Ability to adapt as necessary through role variation
Qualifications:
- Media & Communication Tertiary Qualification (or related discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
- Experience using Photoshop, InDesign & Premier Pro
- Prior work experience handling horses welcomed
