Ultra Thoroughbred Racing Pty Ltd is a racing and breeding operation of Thoroughbred racehorses based in Kilmore, Victoria (Barree Stud Farm).
We are in need of an experienced horse trainer at our state of the art stud farm.
Responsibilities will include:
- Training young thoroughbreds each morning on the track and reporting on their progress
- General handling and veterinary treatments, including but not limited to stable handling and swimming of horses
- Observing the behavior of a horse and the overall health of the horse.
- Pasture and paddock management for the nutrition of horses.
- Teaching horses to be groomed and accept bridle, head collar, rug etc.
- Teaching horses to walk, stand and parade correctly
- Parade and caring for horses at sales
- Training and preparing horses for major sales
- Groom a horse, cleaning and takes care of it.
- Attend the races with horses to ensure they are safe at all times.
Salary : $54,000 to $57,000
Full time.
Driver licence is required.
Qualification
- Certificate IV in Racehorse Training or over 3 years of full time work experiences.
