Full Time Track Work Rider/ Foreperson

Trainers Edward O'Rourke & Michael Freedman are looking for an experienced work rider to join our team at Randwick. This position will include to responsibilities of a stable foreperson.

An exciting opportunity to become part of an up and coming racing stable.

Further to being an experience work rider, the right candidate will show:

• Leadership skills
• Attention to detail across all aspects of the stable
• Exceptional horsemanship
• Able to work alongside a diverse team of people

Duties will include:

• Riding and educating young horse
• Riding gallop work
• Directing stable staff when on the ground in the yard
• liaising with Veterinarians, farriers, dentist, physiotherapists when needed
• Saddling up on race and trial days
• General stable duties such as mucking out boxes, feeding, washing, grooming and general care of horses

Annual salary of $65,000 plus Superannuation and free on-site accommodation to the right candidate.
