Foreperson - Aristia Park

Established in 2020 by leading syndicators First Light Racing, Aristia Park is an 80-acre racehorse spelling, rehabilitation and pre-training facility in Koo Wee Rup, providing expert care for FLR-managed horses and a select group of industry clients.

Managed by Marnie Holloway, one of Melbourne’s most respected equine farm managers and an experienced vet nurse, Aristia Park is a premium facility where we oversee the care and development of elite equine athletes to deliver success for their owners on the racetrack.

Due to rapid growth we are seeking an experienced Foreperson with a high level of horse knowledge to support Marnie in the day-to-day operations and supervision of the team. This is a newly created role within a collaborative and supportive team, dedicated to the highest standards of horse management and industry-leading owner communication.

Key requirements of the role:

• Support the Farm Manager with all aspects of spelling management, owner communications and day-to-day farm operations.
  
• Take responsibility for for day-to-day farm management when the Farm Manager is away, including staff supervision
  
• Extensive horse knowledge and experience in a similar role
  
• Experience working with young horses will be highly regarded
  
• Direct and delegate staff duties effectively
  
• Assist with IV & IM injecting and bandaging
  
• Ability to use farm machinery unsupervised
  
• Knowledge of chemical use and ability to use them safely and correctly
  
• Occasional weekend availability required
  
• Administration as required - experience using Prism will be highly regarded

Full-time salary range: $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience.
