Experienced Trackwork Rider Required

We are on the hunt for an experienced Part Time Rider to be based at our Crown Lodge operation located at Warwick Farm, in Sydney.

Crown Lodge is the home of Godolphin's up and coming two-year old’s, we are seeking applicants with experience and confidence to further develop their education.

This position is a part time role. Track riding experience is essential, as you will be required to ride young racehorses on the training track.

We want a passionate, reliable, and hard-working person whose love and admiration for horses is as great as ours. You must be flexible, have a positive attitude, good work ethic and be willing to go above and beyond in your role.

Tasks include:

• Assist in the preparation of horses for trackwork
• Ride horses on the training track in a professional manner as per instructions.
• Provide assessment of horse work performance to the Senior Foreman
• Monitor fitness and reporting abnormalities

Essential:

• Good riding skills and a working knowledge of pacework
• Riding gallops to time
• Competent horse handling skills.
• Sound communication skills.
• Ability to take and follow instructions.
