Lindsay Park Racing is seeking experienced Stable Hands to join one of our two shifts at our state of the art training complex at Euroa.
We are looking for somebody who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the racing industry or handling race horses. A sound knowledge of horse husbandry and handling skills both young and mature animals and is also a dedicated, reliable and confident individual. Experience within the racing industry is essential.
The Morning shift position offers a single day shifts from 4:00am to 10:00am, Monday to Saturday and every second Sunday for the period of the contract.
The Day shift offers position from 9.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and every second Saturday and Sunday for the period of the contract.
Reporting to the Team Leader and/or Senior Foreman, you will effectively carry out all associated activities in the horse training regime such as: -
· Use of horse walker and treadmill,
· Water walker and equine pool,
· Sand roll;
· Feeding;
· Prepare horses for race day and strapping.
