Experienced Stable Hand

Evergreen Stud is seeking an experienced stable employee to work with Pretrainer’s and Breakers at our Thoroughbred Horse Stud in Heatherbrae. We require the successful applicant to be absolutely reliable and enthusiastic. As a Senior Stable Hand, we would anticipate you will demonstrate the following;

• Leadership and Organisational skills
• A strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
• Punctuality
• Be physically fit
• Ability to take directions and follow instructions closely.
• Ability to Communicate on various levels
• Attention to detail
• Safe handling of young horses.
• Identify factors that affect racehorse health/performance.
• Have at least 3 years’ experience in the thoroughbred/racing industry

Unfortunately, due to location, this is not a 2nd year visa qualifying job.
