M J Payne Racing is looking for a confident rider to join our small, dynamic team located at Nottingham Farm, Ballarat (Miners Rest).
The successful applicant will:
Be able to ride 3-5 horses per morning (currently - as the team get's busier this number will increase), with a experience in riding pace/timed work as well as the ability to assist in riding young horses. *This will be for 3-5 mornings per week.
The role is very flexible as we are a small, boutique style stable. We can accomodate to a rider wanting to ride a few extra horses per morning as we have access to a private track (potential to start at 9/10am) but to be able to start at 7am is preferencial. *Note: these times will change depending on the time of year.
We have options for a casual riding only role or a casual role that can include ground work, afternoons and race days.
ESSENTIAL: Previous experience within a thoroughbred racing stable.

*Note: Applicants must be registered with Racing Victoria prior to commencement which will include a current police check (dated within the last 6 months).
