Events, Partnerships and Administration

We are looking for a person ‘Friday’ to assist with events, partnerships and administration support for the marketing team at Thoroughbred Racing South Australia. If you enjoy local travel and are ready to roll up your sleeves this could be just the thing for you!

The role is responsible for delivering industry leading events and activations for our brands, bringing together the production and end-to-end delivery of events, brand activations and partnerships.

You would be required to plan and track progress on work tasks, taking an organised and methodical approach to your work, addressing priority tasks first and focusing on the most important goals.  Our team is fast paced and passionate, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

This role requires high-level customer service skills as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and volunteers to roll out events. The role would include setup and pack down of equipment and infrastructure, picking and packing point of sale and promotional materials, organizing performers and entertainment as well as cleaning and general labouring.

Additionally this role would provide administration support to the Industry Marketing Manager ranging from managing the departments email inbox and distributing communications to the team to preparing reports for partners.

You must be available after business hours and particularly on weekends. To be successful in this role you have had previous exposure or demonstrated interest in working in an Events and Activations set up role. You will be a team player who can problem solve and use your initiative to get the job done in situations of limited supervision. It would be highly desirable, however not essential if you had your driver’s licence.
