Salary: $96,100.00 to $108,822.00 per annum

Hours per fortnight
76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).

Period of Appointment
For 5 years fixed term basis.

Duties
To ensure Tasmanian thoroughbred racing is conducted with a high level of integrity and in accordance with the requirements of the Tasmanian thoroughbred Rules of Racing and the Racing Regulation Act 2004, including the regulation, monitoring and welfare of registered racing animals.

Essential Requirements
It has been determined that the person nominated for this role is to satisfy pre-employment checks before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
Crimes involving dishonesty including illegal betting or gambling
Serious traffic offences
Crimes of violence
A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
Further Information
The appointee is to work to a roster from Monday to Sunday inclusive. Due to the timing of race meetings and location of racing venues throughout the State, rostered hours may include daytime, evening, weekend and public holiday hours.

The appointee is expected to be contactable by the Office of Racing Integrity senior management outside of normal rostered hours from time to time.

In addition to the advertised remuneration, the appointee will receive a market allowance of 10% per annum (reviewed annually) and will be entitled to the official and private use of a fully maintained vehicle of a type approved by Office of Racing Integrity.
