miStable is a company that provides a communication and management platform to more than 400 racehorse trainers, breeders and syndicators in Australia and overseas.

miStable streamlines a business offering one integrated platform that meets all management needs. From communications, automated race notifications, horse management, invoicing and websites.

THE POSITION

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the achievement of new customer growth, ensure brand alignment and manage accounts and educate customers. In this role, you will need to identify opportunities and initiate contact with key decision makers to generate new business, contributing to the overall profitability of the business. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Scout and educate new customers, and onboard them in a highly professional manner.
  • Strong sales and business development background is a must.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Manage and maintain your pipeline and grow your new business revenue.
  • Work cooperatively in a team environment where your innovative ideas for growth are encouraged. 
  • You will need to be also independently motivated and a go-getter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication is important with a passion for building relationships.
  • A strong and independent can-do attitude, positive outlook and grit will be essential.
  • Travel is necessary, therefore a current driver’s license is essential.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful for this position you will have proven experience in sales and driving new business. This is a busy and challenging role so being resilient, organised and passionate about sales is a must. You will also require:

  • Racing industry knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills that will allow you to liaise and build relationships with industry professionals.
  • Highly focused, reliable and effective deadline management.
  • Develop client sales activity plans to develop a continuous pipeline of opportunities.
  • Effective business writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise demands, and flexibility to meet challenging deadlines.
  • An ambitious and driven mentality who wants to push to beat targets.
