THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting into the Senior Business Development Manager, the Business Development Coordinator will promote and sell ATC Hospitality and Event products and provide high level customer service when managing the hospitality booking process to ATC Members, their guests and corporate clients.

DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL:

  • As first point of contact for the ATC Sales Team, the Business Development Coordinator replies to inbound sales and event requests and queries in a timely and efficient manner, escalating and/or directing major event enquiries to the relevant Business Development Manager.
  • Present options via telephone, email or on occasion, in person, enter agreed bookings into the CRM system, process payments for customers in private and shared dining areas on race days.
  • Assist the Sales Team with researching event leads, qualifying enquires, producing event proposals, contracting events, and assisting with business development activities as requested.
  • Identification and development of new business through a sustained program of cold calling, presentations, direct mailing activities and actively following up all leads and opportunities.
  • Monitor all aspects of day-to-day sales operations to ensure adherence to all set rules, policies and procedures of the Club and compliance bodies.
  • Contact all previous bookings from both the Autumn and Spring Carnivals, rebooking and upselling into higher level products where applicable.
  • Undertake all administrative duties for sales including recording booking confirmations, payments, contracts and ensuring correct data is input into the event booking system.

THE RIGHT FIT

To be successful in the role, the right candidate will possess:

  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate and consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Computer literacy required and a proficiency in operating the USI CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and Microsoft software packages advantageous;
  • Moderate experience in a sales role environment;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, marketing, communications, tourism, and/or event management advantageous;
  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate is essential whilst the RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) Certificate is desirable;
  • A passion for events/sport and delivering excellent customer service;
  • A positive and can-do mindset;
