Breaker/Pre-Trainer Riders and Stablehands

Lindsay Park Racing is currently seeking highly experienced and capable staff to join our team in our Breaking and Pre-Training barn riding and caring for many of the most well bred young equine in Australia.

The positions is based out of our state of the art training complex at Euroa, North East Victoria.

If you are highly skilled and experienced, patient and fast work is not your preferred option, then this position could be just for you.

We require:-

Pre-trainer/Young Horse Educator - able to educate and ride 8 -10 young horses per morning (with particular emphasis on riding slow work as well as pace work ).

Young Horse Stablehand - care for our young horses on the ground which includes general horse husbandry, swimming, barrier education, grooming and stablehand duties.

The salary for the above positions are  in the range of $53,500 - $62,000 pa + Super and staff incentive schemes.

Fully functional canteen and some accommodation available together with  assistance with transition to the appropriate applicants.

Essential Skills:-

• Minimum of 3 year full time professional experience in the industry or the like horse profession.
• Reliable, hardworking with the ability to work well within a team and independently.
• Excellent horsemanship skills.
• Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information.
• Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment.
• Sound knowledge of OH & S relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses and horses.
