Hannover Lodge is a large, established thoroughbred pre-training, breaking in and spelling facility in Wilberforce.

We are looking for a capable person to join our team as bookkeeper and administration assistant.

Applicant must have the following:

  • Minimum five years experience in a bookkeeper/admin role.
  • XERO experience
  • Payroll / Super / PAYG
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly / yearly returns (i.e. workcover)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Accounts payable / receivable
  • Manage complex month end processes
  • A knowledge of ARDEX, but not essential

Key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Payroll
  • Reconciliation
  • Special financial projects

You will be providing support to the finance department with routine bookkeeping duties paying special attention to accounts payable and receivable. You will need to handle general ledgers and major account reconciliations along with managing journal entry postings and creating financial quality reports. Resolve financial issues and handle daily monitoring of cash flow. If you are interested in this role please add the words “Star Wars” to your cover letter.

Education and Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum Cert III in Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledge of developing systems for handling financial transactions and complying with federal, state and local legal requirements
  • Experience with MS office especially Excel
  • Sociable personality with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to handle office communication orally and in writing
