Description

Oversee the general accounting and administrative duties for the business.

Duties include:

Accounts payable

Accounts receivable including following up outstanding payments

Bank reconciliations

General ledger reconciliations

Payroll, including applying the correct award and pay rates

Staff registrations

Assist in the preparation of statutory requirements such as payroll tax, superannuation and work cover

Liaising with external accounts as required in preparing ATO requirements

Liaising with Racing Australia and Racing NSW as required

Assisting the Trainer with owner communications as required

Input and maintain accurate data on horses and owners in Prism

Racing administration including Registrations, Transfers, Insurance

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

This role will suit an organised and experienced Bookkeeper, with an interest and/or previous experience in the racing or breeding industry. The role requires excellent communication skills, a genuine customer focus and strong attention to detail.
