Assistant Broodmare Manager

Cityview Farm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Broodmare Manager to join our dedicated team. Cityview Farm operates as a thoroughbred mare farm located in Gisborne South, Victoria, approximately 15 minutes from Gisborne Town Centre and 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD.

Responsibilities include the routine care, welfare and handling of broodmares, foals, weanlings, yearlings, and spellers. Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the management of the daily running of the broodmare band and foals
• Monitoring all other bloodstock including spellers
• Recognition and treatment of injuries and other health issues
• Assisting with foaling down mares, pre and post foaling care, foal handling and weaning
• Yearling and weanling sale preparation
• Administration and coordination of medication and treatments
• Transporting horses

The successful applicant will have at least five years’ experience on a broodmare farm. A current driver’s license and experience towing a float is essential.
