Kavanagh Racing Stables based at Flemington Racecourse is seeking the services of an experienced Administration Assistant.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Liaising with clients on the phone and via email
  • Typing and sending out client communications
  • Updating and maintaining our database
  • Processing horse registrations and transfers
  • Assisting with end of month accounts
  • Data entry of invoices
  • Resolving customer enquiries
  • Answering phones
  • Filing
  • Taking care of the office housekeeping

To be successful in this position you will need

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a fast paced office environment
  • Accurate and fast typing speed
  • Professional communication skills
  • A strong ability to prioritize and multi task as you will be reporting to various superiors
  • A friendly telephone manner
  • Experience using MYOB & Xero
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Email
  • Ardex knowledge advantageous with the ability to pick up new software quickly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to show initiative and take responsibility
  • Enjoys working with others however comfortable working alone
  • An understanding of payroll, awards and National Employment standards
