 Hawkes Racing is a successful Horse Training Partnership comprising of John, Wayne & Michael Hawkes.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts/Administration Assistant to provide support to the Accounts Office. The role is based within the Racing Stables at Rosehill Racecourse.

  • Full Time and / or Casual
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm (Negotiable)
  • Salary dependant on experience

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Entry Debtors & Creditors
  • Bank Reconciliations and General Bookkeeping
  • Wages, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation & Leave Accruals
  • PAYG and BAS Lodgement
  • Chasing up of Overdue/Outstanding Debtors
  • Answer & Action phone calls promptly
  • Purchasing requirements for the office
  • Collection of mail and banking of cheques
  • Cleaning of Office

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Experience in a similar Accounts/Payroll/Administrative role
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office (Excel) and MYOB essential
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise & multitask
  • Clear and confident communicator with a pleasant phone manner
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and cohesively within a small team
  • Excellent Written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Ardex Software would be an advantage
  • Comfortable working in an animal friendly environment
