Having taken out his trainer’s license in 1988 John attacked the game fiercely and came out on-top acquiring leading stock from the sales ring for mere amounts time and time again. The most recognized of these was Our Civic Hope who took out the J.F. Meynink Stakes and Queensland Millions on top of his five consecutive wins which kicked off his career.

Showing a willingness to travel and confidence to back his judgment, in 2004 John landed the ultimate prize in racing notching a stakes win during the famous Melbourne Cup Carnival with Kengrande - well worth the plane flight south to racings headquarters, Flemington!

Keeping numbers capped to around 20 horses at any one time the stables philosophy prides itself on providing a dedicated boutique and hands-on experience both for there horses and owners.

John supports local breeders having purchased or bred horses with: Glenlogan Park, Raheen Stud, Oakwood Farm, Oaklands Stud, Murrulla Stud, Wattle Brae Stud, Noralla Stud, Craiglea Stud, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, etc just to name a few.
